Re: Maidstone Groups / Clubs
I live in Maidstone but none of the home groups I game in are there. Hopefully someone else here will be able to come up with something. If you drive then the Harrietsham or Chatham Maritime groups could be an option.

Re: Maidstone Groups / Clubs
Afternoon all,
I've recently moved to Maidstone also and need a gaming fix. I want to offer my place as a base for a group as I'm a single dad and can't afford a baby sitter on a regular basis.
I have been gaming for roughly 18 years and have tried lots of different systems and am willing to try more. I love running L5R and Cyberpunk 2020 and have most of the books for those systems.
Hope to hear from people soon.
Tom

Re: Maidstone Groups / Clubs
Hi there,
I live near Maidstone (Larkfield) and I'm looking for a regular group.
I can GM a few of the "classic" RPG's - CoC, Chill, Paranoia etc. and some quirky ones like Ghostbusters and Toon.
I'm definately up for it!

I'm in Ashford, but wouldnt mind driving up, although between work and home life I think a fortnightly group would work best for me if thats an option?

Re: Maidstone Groups / Clubs
Hi Jimjam,
Unfortunatly we are now full as I can't really fit any more around my table. If some one drops out then I get back in touch if that's ok.
Sorry once again,
Tom

Re: Maidstone Groups / Clubs
"No Man's Land" in Market Buildings (just off the High Street) will have rooms available for hire. Not sure of the cost to hire though.
Other than "No Man's Land", does anyone else know of any local venues in the Maidstone area that have a quiet room and preferably nearby parking space?
If they are not too expensive, I would not mind chipping in with the cost to hire.

Re: Maidstone Groups / Clubs
Hello,
Due to a promotion at work for me I've had to change my host night and subsequently have a couple of spaces free on a Sunday night if people are interested. We run 3 sundays a month.
We "round robin" the GM hat. Each person runs a scenario for a game that they want to run, and everyone else says ok to that system, and then the GM hat is handed to someone else. So far we have run Cyberpunk 2020, Savage Worlds(torchwood), Pathfinder, Airship Pirates and are about to start SLA industries. Each scenario has lasted between 6-8 weeks with another week at the start to sort characters
All of us are experienced (over 30yrs old
) gamers and the emphasis is on Role Play not Rule Play. So Twinks/Munchkin/Rules Lawyers/Min-Maxers need not apply
Hope to hear back

Re: Maidstone Groups / Clubs
Our venue (Fant Hall) has a quiet room that would be ideal for an rpg group. We run a table top wargames club there every Thursday 7pm to 11pm. An RPG group could have the room for £1 per player for the evening.
I can be contacted on barming_wargames@btinternet.com
We also have a large amount of free off street parking and a tuck shop.

Re: Maidstone Groups / Clubs
The weekly gaming group I organise/host is looking to recruit another player.
We are based in Leybourne (near West Malling/Maidstone) and normally meet on a Tuesday evening (but that is about to change to being a Wednesday for several months before switching back to a Tuesday). Our normal gaming time is from 20:00 to 22:30.
We're an older group, almost all aged 40+, and we're currently playing Fantasy Craft, though we're planning to switch to Yggdrasill (a mythic Norse game - http://www.cubicle7.co.uk/our-games/yggdrasill/) in a few months time.
If you are interested in chatting further about potentially joining then please send me a PM.
Thanks,
Mahatatain.
