Re: I have the new edition of D&D
On a short rest, if you have a healer's kit you can expend 1 use of your healer's kit to spend your hit dice to heal. Once your hit dice are spent they are spent for the day. So if you are 1st level you can only benefit from 1 short rest.

Yes.
I could swallow it if your long just rest renewed your hit dice rather than your hit dice and your hit points.

ta
hopefully have a play myself soon. May run a classic with a bit more urban in it....
..i do hope they update/clean up and re-release some proper classics (not the really dungeony-ones-with-no-social-stuff but mods like N1, X4, B3, UK2+3, B7 and the mighty L1 and other such treasures)

Re: I have the new edition of D&D
B7 is what I'm going to run next time. There are a number of problem solving encounters as well as combat ones, NPCs that matter and a clear purpose to the adventure.

I have the new edition of D&D
Try running it with a Paizo Module. I recommend Souls for Smugglers Shiv.

In my experience, scenario design is generally done with the party's peak capabilities in mind, not degraded ones. Building encounters based on the fact that the party may all be wounded by point X in the adventure is difficult, and being as every group will play through at a different speed, also probably redundant. I have no issues with rests healing a chunk o' hit points so that my scenario development is easier.
