Game Buffet
A discussion point raised at the London Indie Meetup this month was the possibility of organising something like an RPG buffet: imagine being presented with a table upon which are several RPG books, a range of ideas for themes, events & characters and a number of GMs on standby. You approach the table and pick one of each, then take your selection to your table to enjoy it.
How would one go about making this work in the real world? This is already a softened version of the idea that Scott Dorward advanced, which would have dispensed with the rulebooks in favour of a number of rules modules for different aspects of a game.
