The Psychology of Psychiatry

Things have been really strange in th sanitorium lately, so we're all really glad that Dr. Reynolds has called this staff meeting in order to address things. Where is Dr. Reynolds - it is so unlike him to be late....

A game of Vox. Psychological horror based on the PDQ system ( Jaws of the 6 serpents, Swashbucklers of the 7 skies ) where the voices in your head may be more sane than your own...

That sounds pretty cool, I'd be interested in seeing whether PDQ is suitable for psychological horror :)

I'm thinking of running a Dead of Night 2 sci/fi scenario that I am prepping now. Perhaps if I get some practice with running Apocalypse World before Indiecon (have only played it so far) I might try to run that, but otherwise I might try to run a game of Dread Jenga...

I would love to get to play in a Dogs in the Vineyard or a Monsters and other childish things game though...

I am working on a Wild Talents powered Celtic Mythology setting game which I shall run this year.

I may also run a Weapons of the Gods game. Or maybe Song of Ice and Fire. Or maybe a different setting ORE game.

We shall see.

I'll provide a non-Indie fix of Dark Heresy etc.

If I'm organised there may be some new Landston.

I am hoping there will be lots of new games there for people to playtest. I have a cunning plan about that, which I know I mentioned to a few of you at Conception. More details will follow at a later point.

I'll be trying to run a few games of Duty & Honour during Spring and Summer. If, with the help of my group, I can get a good grasp of it then I may well take the plunge at Indiecon.

We did a "playtest camp" at Conception a few years ago and a good few games got run as part of that - I'd love to see something more at indiecon.

The plan was to do a gamechef-esque thing but with the end point being people running playtests at Indiecon. I tested the theory at Conception with my playtests of Narrative Pursuits, one a day and making changes in between.

I think encouraging everyone to get involved in the design side is a good thing even if its just in the capacity to seriously playtest, and I think Indiecon is exactly the right place to do it.

The plan was to offer everyone who brought a game and playtested it, something to help them get it release ready, whether that be vouchers for artwork or something. The idea is still being worked over which is why I don't have definite answers or proposals yet. If however anyone wants to help in forming the idea, I would be more than happy to accept their assistance

Ash, I love you man!

You're like the spoon to my egg, ink to my pen, candle stick to my dining room!

Yeah baby, this sounds proper mustard. I'm dying to see what comes out of it!

Tis a shame Indiecon is sooooo far away.
