Games for Furnace 2011

Postby ElaineM » 2:49pm on 01 Apr 11

With Furnace 2011 registrations open - and if you haven't already, go and sign up right here now - I'm sure you're all champing at the bit to find out what awesome games are gonna be running.

But alas! 15 minutes after registrations have opened, nary a single game submission has dropped into my inbox. A tragedy! Only you can remedy this, dear forum reader.

Send your game submissions to me by heading to the Call for GMs page, and following the instructions. Simple!

I'm most likely offering games of:

ORE/Reign: Ninth Legion
FATE: Age of Arthur
OpenQuest: Here Be Dragons.

Any of the above might be replaced with something else- Wordplay: Drowned Lands, Wild Talents: Kerberos Club and Wild Talents: Blood of the Gods are also possibilities.
Paul Mitchener, Maths Sensei

Author: Blood of the Gods (Wild Talents in Ancient Greece), Drowned Lands (a wet post-apocalypse based on Deluge, in Worlds of Wordplay), Age of Arthur (with Graham Spearing)(Fate-based dark ages fantasy).

Coming Soon: Here Be Dragons (with Simon Bray)(an OpenQuest fantasy setting mixing the whimsical and the dark), Tomb of the Necromancers (a Crypts and Things scenario).

In the Pipeline: Reign: Ninth Legion (a fantasy setting involving the descendants of the lost Ninth Legion of the Roman Empire)

Please, people, if you're going to run games, can you email me with them per the website instead of posting them on the forums? It makes my life so much easier - and less likely to miss one - if I don't have to trawl here and the Tavern to pluck out the details.

I've had email submissions from Rik Kershaw-Moore, Paul Lawrence, Newt, Tony Parry, and Pete Atkinson. If you're not one of them, email me at elaine.e.mccourt@gmail.com with the following details:

1. GM Name
2. System
3. Title
4. Description
5. No. of players
6. Preferred slot(s)

Tsarily yours,
Elaine

I've no idea what to run this time round. What's cool these days? I think Sexy Lemur is doing three Spirit, so I should do three Savage, but feel like mixing it up a bit.

Isn't it exciting?

I've submitted the Dread/Spite game officially now, but am also quite in to DitV at the moment (yeah, I know, turning up so late to the party the drinks are all gone and the staff are hoovering up the sausage rolls) and am seriously considering using it to run the whole scenarios linked by evolving characters concept that was chatted about before. So might offer the first run of that as a second game. Am mulling it over.

Hi all

Here's the first look at how the Furnace timetable is shaping up so far:

http://db.tt/0SkJ9Ov

If your game isn't on there, it's because you haven't emailed me!

If you want to run a game, and have posted a game on the forum but not emailed me, please do so ASAP or risk losing out on a slot.

Hi

I'm not all that keen to run a game right now, but my current fatigued mood might well change in the intervening half year. I'll bang this up so I can reserve a spot in one of Pete's cracking Spirit games.

1. Pete
2. Lady Blackworld
3. As The Tea Leaves Grow

Small Toad – youngest student of Master Iron Willow – gave the rarest tea flower in Master Iron Willow's considerable collection to a passing beauty. Whether she smiles when she looks at it, Master Iron Willow was not pleased by the absence. Now, he tasks Small Toad and his four Brothers to journey the Empire in search of a tea leaf to rival the missing one.

Based on the elegant Chinoiserie stories of Ernest Bramah and Barry Hughart, As The Tea Leaves Grow is a Lady Blackbird+Apocalyspe World mashup of refined kung fu and kick ass tea drinking.

5. 2-4 players
6. Preferred slot – Sun am

Cheers

I bet you could get that Lemur to switch his games around within the confines of the current slots, if you seduced him with your Geordie wiles. ;)

Greetings

I'm not precious about which slots/which games so I could swap session 1 with session 4 if its easier/preferable. If I do though Neil, you'll have to run D&H/BtQ in one of the slots I'm playing
