Here are the details for my games - I've gone for the as-yet-untested combinations of mice/nazis and dwarves/cthuloid horror

Slot: SUNDAY P.M.
GM Name - Guy Milner
System - Mouse Guard
Title - Inglorious Mustelids
Description - There's a band of weasels that have somehow got past the scent barrier and keep raiding isolated farms - burning them to the ground and slaughtering anyone that gets in their way - they camp and forage in the wilderness and appear out of nowhere. Luckily one of them wants to defect, and you're sent to collect him. But first you have to find the campsite of these invisible guerillas, and then - well, all weasels look the same, don't they? Not like us mice...
Tags: Mice, Indie, Nazis

Slot: SATURDAY A.M.
GM Name: Guy Milner
System: Burning Wheel
Title: The Price of Gold
Description:
Never dig in the hills of your enemies. Steal their coin instead. Let them do the digging.
- Ancient Dwarven proverb
You’ve never been on a worse-luck dig. The clay won’t take, the rock comes off in sharp slinters that fly into your eyes and beard, and it smells like somebody died down here. In fact, Alrick and Barin did die down here digging that first shaft – and don’t give me that **** about health and safety, none of you ever wore harnesses running down the vein before. You do now though – and they still haven’t found Barin’s body. The elves you caught running through the forest tell us they used to bury their worst criminals here in these hills - but you haven’t found any bones yet – or none that look like they might’ve had pointy ears, at least.

Almost complete now! The timetable as of 22 July can be downloaded here, and the game details can be downloaded here.

As you can see, there's one free table on Sunday morning in (basement) Cell 2. Also, any blue slots are games where I still need details from the GMs. If you're one of those, please send them to me as soon as you can.

Thanks!

P.S. Dropbox appears to be playing silly buggers as of noon on Monday. If it doesn't work, try again later.

This is a slightly expanded version of my e-mailed game.

1. Andrew Watson

2. System : D&D 4th Edition

3. Title : Lord Fouls Bane

4. Description: You are the Hanged Men, once convicted criminals saved from the gallows in exchange for service to the Crown. For the last five years you have battled the minions of Lord Foul, a renegade nobleman, but have never been able to pin him down. Now he has come out into the open, capturing your City and your Prince with an army of barbarians, brigands and the dragon Vortigen. Your home, your liege and your loot are all now at risk. How will you save them and who can you really trust in a group where many have worn the death mark.

5. No. of players: 5 (although my mail said 4 I would be happy with 5)

6. Preferred slot(s): whatever is available. At the moment it is just a Sunday am slot I believe but if a Saturday slot became available that would be preferred.

7. Any other information (optional): A level 8 D&D 4th edition game, setting independant. No real prior knowledge of the system is required. Will involve some limited degree of mini and map play so be aware if that is not your cup of tea.

Finally here is the details of my games

Slot 1
Scenario: The Magical Painter by Newt Newport
System: Monkey
Number of Players: Six
Description:
The Queen of the Western Heaven’s favourite mortal Painter has gone missing. Nobody seems to care or know where he has gone. The Queen arrives at the Ministry of Thunder to demand its agents recover him. The Ministry says “you say jump, we say how high” and assigns its best agents to the job. Yes that’s you scruffy lot, get yourselves down to Earth right away!

Monkey is a game of errant Chinese Immortals, doing good deeds to atone for past crimes with dollops of comedy and kick ass kung fu action. This is light hearted fun game where no prior knowledge is assumed.

More info visit d101games.co.uk/monkey

Slot 2
Scenario: Ravenshope by Newt Newport
System: Chronicles of Erun
Number of Players: Six
Description
The tower of Ravenshope which dominates the mountainous landscape of Scarvale, was once a proud symbol of House Raven. But it fell during the Orc Wars and became one of the enemy’s most feared strongholds. The orcs where driven out during the war but despite a doomed expeditionary force led by the King’s nephews it has never been re-manned.

Now King Byron the Blessed and representatives from all the noble Houses, Raven, Bear and Osprey have gathered at Ravenshope in a defiant gesture to take back the sentinel tower for the Kingdom of Erun. With them are the men and women who will stay once the Lords leave, drawn from all three houses, to safe guard the kingdom from the terrors that lurk in Scarvale and beyond.

This is an epic adventure, which places the characters at the heart of the tensions between the noble houses of Erun and confronts them with a horror as ancient as time itself. Be warned this is not a railroading adventure, where I guide you through one predetermined scene after another. Your decisions and actions will drive the unfolding events to their terrifiying conclusion.

The Chronicles of Erun, uses a modified version of the OpenQuest system with a completely rewritten magic system to fit the setting, Social Combat rules and a system of Tactics that allow experienced characters to gain one-up on their less knowledgeable counterparts, and applies not just to physical combat but across the whole range of skills. The setting is engaging but not obscure, and no prior knowledge of D100 gaming is needed.

More info visit d101games.co.uk/chronicles-of-erun

Slot 3
Scenario: The Eternal City of Damnation by Newt Newport
System: Crypts & Things
Number of Players: Six
Description
Once the glorious capital of a world wide empire, betrayed to Demons by an arrogant Emperor who traded his citizens souls for immortality, the City of Eternal Damnation offers riches and secrets to those willing to risk their very soul in the pursuit of them in its ruined streets.

Terror, Fear, Demons from the Otherworlds, Evil Sorcerers, Swashbuckling Fighters, Noble Barbarians, canny Rogues, all await you in this Swords and Sorcery adventure set in the decaying ruins of a once great city.

Crypts & Things is a Heavy Metal Swords and Sorcery take on D&D, with numerous rules tweaks to better match the genre. Think early White Dwarf to a 80s Thrash Metal soundtrack turned up to 11!

Slot 4
Scenario: The Road to Hell by Newt Newport
System: OpenQuest
Number of Players: Six
Description
When you and your companions set off on the white stone paved Imperial road through ripe wheat fields rippling gently in the breeze it was dreamy autumn day. Who could have predicted the nightmare you would encounter further along the way.

This is a Dark Fantasy tale of hellish proportions, inspired in part by Clive Barker’s Hellraiser films and the grimmer side of medieval Europe using OpenQuest a D100 system in the gritty traditions of RuneQuest and Stormbringer.

More info visit d101games.co.uk/openquest

Slot 5
Scenario: Operation Camphor By Rik Kershaw-Moore
System: The Company
Number of Players: Six
Description
02:13 ZULU - Briefing Room Alpha, Hurricane Base.
In the last five minutes you've gone from being fast asleep to being painfully awake; such is the life of a team working the SHOTGUN emergency response shift. As the adrenalin kicks in, the briefing room flies open and in strides the Duty Commander. The briefing is short and sweet:
"Less than a hour ago an armed band of four intruders entered the flat of Hank Thornville, a key member of the Sea Transport Section, and abducted him. We currently do not know who these intruders are, or why they would wish to attack Hank; what we do wish to do is recover Hank with all speed. Right now you are to grab you gear and get airborne. You are wheels up at 02:20 ZULU."

A fast paced action thriller, putting you in the boots of members of The Company, an elite independent Private Military Service Provider. The Company is a global security concern capable of dealing with any situation from a high octane firefight to the tracking down of serial killers. The system is based on OpenQuest a D100 system, with numerous rules additions to deal with such modern day concerns as guns and vehicles.

Here's is what I hope to be running all being well:
---------------------------------

The Last Witness
System: River of Heaven (OpenQuest)
Players: 4-6
Slot: Saturday Evening
Description:
Almost a century ago, against the better advice of the Hegemony, the Solar Witnesses despatched the Revelation - an antimatter torch ship - on a pilgrimage to the Machine Civilisation Polis in the Altair star system.

It never came back. That is, until now.

You are members of a freelance search and rescue team hired by the Solar Witnesses to salvage their ship, and find out what exactly happened out there.

---------------------------------

Dead Ball Situation
System: All Flesh Must Be Eaten
Players: 4-6
Slot: Sunday AM
Description:
Who would have thought it? Grimpington Rovers in the F.A. Cup Final against Manchester United? You are under no illusions. Facing relegation, with the board on the brink of sacking your manager Dan Bingly, everyone was predicting a hammering today at the Theatre of Dreams.

It's half-time, and you're 4-nil down already. Including an embarressing own-goal. Bingly has just delivered one of his finest impassioned and expletive-laden speeches, when there's a commotion outside and a steward staggers in clutching what looks like a bite wound on his neck.

It appears a violent riot has broken out in the stands. Police and stewards have lost control and it's spreading fast around the stadium. And it's heading your way!

---------------------------------

Looking forward to it! :)

Ok, ladies and gents, they're finally here - the timetable and game details for Furnace 2011.

There might be a minor tweak or two, but I'll post if that's the case.

This means I'm also opening GM pre-bookings. Most of you know the drill - email me at elaine.e.mccourt@gmail.com with your requested pre-bookings. One GM pre-booking for each game you're running, and no more than half the slots in a game pre-booked.

5 weeks and counting!

Are you coming to Furnace? Going to be there on the Sunday? Interested in running a game that morning?

If the answer to all of these questions above is "Yes", then get in touch. There's a cushy lower jailhouse cell where you can run your game, and a pre-booked game of your choice in it for you!
