My Indiecon: The first, but not the last!
Indiecon was great. A really friendly, fun and vibrant con. Right away as we arrived the red shirts explained everything, and helped us figure everything out being complete noobz. Chris especially was just amazing getting me set up with a stall and demo table right away, and taking the time in what must have been a really busy weekend to come and check out Crimson Exodus and even suggest some great ideas. My regret of the con was to not ask for a demo of Cursed Empire, but not having any slots free it just didn't occur to me. Luckily, we (Elvira and I) have already decided to return next year and I'll get a game or demo in then. I also wanted to try Witch - The Road to Lindisfarne, but I just couldn't fit it in anywhere.
I think it would be great if Chris implements his idea of doing a few slots next year with a few tables allocated to running shorter games and demos - optionally one or two hour sessions. I think there were pick-up games running like this and there are spontaneous demos. (I did a really fun demo of Crimson Exodus in the pub over a couple of beers with Giles and Elvira that lasted less than an hour, but which was great because it was really focused and fast). A separate "board" for short games and demos could be useful for this, perhaps even allowing players to put up requests for games.
I want to thank the the organisers and Chris for doing a great job and being a terrific host. Mick Red for convincing me to go, roping me into trying Baron Munchausen and for rescuing the Lady Penny McKoy from being outed as a Frenchie - despite obviously being a French spy himself failing to toast the Queen and then blaming his honourable Lady for stealing his drink! Also, a big thanks to everyone playing Crimson Exodus for really embracing their inner Orc (and Dwarf), and making it fun to be the GM.
We also enjoyed drinking wine and voka with the 6d6 crew and assorted guests, and thanks for letting us play our music (not that you had much choice having forgotten to bring any CDs!) Was fun to talk to everyone there and I look forward to catching up to many of you again at Dragonmeet.
The raffle was lots of fun and like the whole con was very well organised. I think it is great that the prices are vouchers to spend at the stalls, and that there is a special GM draw.
Next year I will certainly book Monday off and stay the extra night, as it would have been good to spend some time in the bar at the end talking to the many new friends we made at the con. As it was we left soon after the raffle and got safely back to London with only a minor detour as the GPS got left and right confused, and tried to repeatedly lead us across the fields where the horses were grazing.

Re: My Indiecon: The first, but not the last!
Thanks for a fun game! I really enjoyed the interaction and banter between the characters. It was a good story and I liked playing the hangover dwarf trying to reason with mindless Orcs!
Although the system is not particularly my style (that’s just me though), I liked the core mechanic. I can also see the appeal of upscaling / downscaling the dice for someone that has a bit of a brain for probabilities (not me). I also thought that the physical elements such as the cards and (in particular for my character) the map added a lot of colour to the game. One of my friends bought the rule book and we were looking at it in the train back to London.
I cannot believe Mick slit my throat, just as I had started to trust him! Serves me right for trusting an Orc... or indeed a Frenchie!
It was great meeting you and Elvira and I hope to see you soon. Will you be at Dragonmeet at the end of the month?
Yours,
Elina

Hi Elina,
It was great meeting you too and I enjoyed our chat after the game about various games and gaming styles. One of your friends... would that happen to be Kaiserjez?
Yes, I will be at Dragonmeet selling a few books and maybe I'll even find the opportunity to play something.
Cheers,
Claus

I'm the dude who came up to your stall and bought a copy of Crimson Exodus after you had already packed everything up!
