Thank you
I'd just like to thank everybody who worked so hard to make Dragonmeet a great day out - I had an excellent day of gaming again this year. Thank you.
I enjoyed a game of Fiasco in the am session - but will probably need to play it a couple of times before I really get the hang of it.
And I had a really great game of Jaws of Six Serpents in the pm session.
Thank you to the excellent people I played with.
See you again next year - hopefully.

Desperately Seeking Anna
Fourthed
I had a fine day out at Dragonmeet: jawing the jaw with some fine folk, playing two excellent games, and grazing and watering at the very first Thai-Irish fusion pub I have ever been to.
The London Indie RPG Meet ran a whole bunch of games: InSpectres, Apocalypse World, Fiasco, Witch, Love in the Time of Seid, On Mighty Thews, Queen of Thorns, Dogs in the Vineyard, and er, more. We were ensconced upstairs running small-press role-playing games all day, soaking up the odd gamers who were without a game, and dishing out pin-badges and hugs with wild abandon.
Celebrity Sightings: Simply Shane was displaying his puissance demo'ing boardgames for Esdevium; Rae was charming as ever in a snatched conversation while I was out "Mick Spotting"; Kenners "Kenners" Kenners was looking trim as a whippet ,and a good number of folk that I talked to picked up his new game Lost Days of Memories & Madness; and Mick was spotted (hurrah!) running another game of Witch.
Best Hugs : Piers The Magus!11!!11!!!!
Best Movember Moustache: Scott Dorward
Best T-Shirt: Nick "Icy Ice"
Best Crow Impression: Stuart
Best Chat-Up Line: "Is your name Anna?"
Many thanks to the organisers, cheers
Pete

Re: Thank you
I had a marvellous time at Dragonmeet yesterday. It was a great opportunity to catch up with many folks I only ever seem to see there, and I managed to do so much shopping that I had to get a taxi home from the station to avoid rupturing myself (admittedly most of this is down to the Tome of Horrors, a book so big that it should come bundled with its own forklift truck).
The two games I offered -- Dead of Night, urban fantasy style, and Jaws of the Six Serpents -- went very well, thanks to a lively and creative bunch of players in each case. It never would have occurred to me to try to take down The Queen of Air and Darkness with an iron-filing-laced cream pie to the face.
Thanks to Angus and to Neil Ford for making it all happen!

There were games upstairs...?! I obviously missed those.
Well done to everyone!

Yeah, our presence upstairs wasn't writ large.
We - the London Indie RPG Meet - will address our shortcoming in that regard next year. We did manage to offer a few pick-up games to folk during the day, but sadly none to girls named Anna.

My pole-screaming rates are quite reasonable; let's do lunch and work out something for next year. In truth, I barely ventured into the Trade Hall.
Cheers

Re: Thank you
Home again, phew!
I had a good con - lots of people came to the stall and looked at my books, and several discerning souls actually bought copies.
Thanks to the audience at the small press publishing seminar, and to my co-conspirator Toph. I hope everyone got something useful out of it.
Official kudos to Rae, Tim, Scott and Matt for running SB games.
Thanks to the organising team, who jumped the day's hurdles with grace and dramatically flowing locks.

Thank you indeed - another great Dragonmeet! Met lots of nice people, successfully launched Lost Days of Memories & Madness and got to meet Ian Livingstone! What a nice chap.

The Men in Black have had that problem with being upstairs too, yeah. This year, I finally got around to bringing a colour poster to point people our way, which I think may have helped a little. If we're there again next year, I'll have to print off the poster again.
Though maybe all of us who are consigned to the Upper Foyer need to get together and very politely persuade the organisers to do some big posters to steer more people up there in general.

Re: Thank you
I think people only venture out of the main hall and the lobby/cafe area if they have specific games to go to. So if you're doing on-demand stuff maybe it'd be better to be down there (or to have a sort of gateway stand there and take people away to play).

Re: Thank you
I never went upstairs, I have memories of it being hideously noisy and crowded and I had no reason to go.
I had a fab time and it was lovely to see lots of splendid people and I came home with Zombie cuddy cthulu from the auction!

Hi
Big thanks from me to the organisers, especially the PFS team. (and those who made sure I got to the tube OK).
Had a fun packed day (24 hrs including travel). Hopefully I'll be able to stay for the auction next time. Gonna get killed (or something nasty) when my friend finds out I missed the book signing. (He's avid fan & so missed opportunity for Christmas prezzie)
Will be back again next year

Re: Thank you
Hi guys,
Many thanks to the organisers, the DMs and my fellow players for a great Dragonmeet.
I played in Scott's Dead of Night game in the morning, which was excellent fun. Then jumped to a last minute opportunity for a game of the Agency, which I had heard about but not played before. It was good fun and though I was not very familiar with the genre (it being 60s brit spies), I really enjoyed it.
I got to visit the trade hall and came away with lots of new indie games, including Last Days of Memories and Madness, which I had played at IndieCon and was really impressed. Perhaps I will even be brave enough to run it at the next Indie Meetup. (Perhaps being the key word...)
A great day gaming and seeing friends!
Elina
