There are 5 slots or so, around 3 hours each.

Anyone else? I think they'd interested in seeing game ideas and putting them on the site, which by the way seems to be buggered atm.

Hope you have better luck than me; I've asked them repeatedly to chatter on this site and others :?

Phil's an old mate from my student days, and I'm in regular contact with him. I did mention the forum this morning and he did say its on his list of things to do.

This is my first time at Conpulsion so I'll be asking a couple of questions myself & I'm quite happy to pass anything that is raised here and doesn't get an answer.

Hey all,

Here I am. Happy to answer any questions about Conpulsion games here and there is a place you can register your games on the Conpulsion website. http://www.geas.org.uk/conpulsion/rpgs/

Game slots are three hours each and I know the GM co-ordinator will try and ensure that people get at least one slot. With me running the convention this year that'll be four slots free already. ;)

Glad to hear your questions though, just appreciate I have a few day jobs on top of this but I'll make sure I visit every day.

Cheers

Phil

Errr... I'm a bit confused. Do I just post details of games I want to run on the main site? Or do I need to bagsy/negotiate how many slots I have to run? Given that there's no games posted so far, it's a bit hard to work out.

For the record, ATM I'm hoping to run in 3 slots - Mouse Guard (or maybe Realm Guard?) / Apocalypse World / Burning Wheel OR Eclipse Phase OR Monsterhearts OR Monster of the Week OR something else. But if I'm only guaranteed one I'll prioritise.

You make a submission using this page on the Conpulsion website.

Don't know how the slots will be allocated, best PM Phil Harris for that.

Hi there,

My computer died; but now I'm back.

The slots run from 10 - 1, 3 - 6 and 8 - 11.

We have numerous people registering games they want to run, as well as organising all the guest talks and confirming equipment for those is correct and in place. Also our RPG co-ordinator has to balance what is submitted against what is going on. No point having a RPG talk on the One Ring and placing a whole bunch of MERP scenarios at the same time.

Please submit games and wait. We are in the midst of doing all this scheduling and then slotting the RPG's, Boardgames and more around that to make the best convention for your money. It takes time though and the RPG co-ordinator will be back to you early in March to finalise things.

So make sure you submit games by then.

On another point.

When submitting the teaser for your game keep it short. All games that are submitted in time will be mentioned in the programme and they will all be assigned the same space (except pre-arranged charity games sold at the auction which will get a little more, because, they're for the charity).

If its too long it may be cut or edited for space, so short and simple is best.

However if you have submitted something longer (or with chapters) you'll be able to give the RPG coordinator a shortened teaser when he contacts you to say your game will be running.

Important

If you are thinking of running a game and have not submitted yet could you so it in the next week please.

With a vast number of talks, workshops, games and more to schedule throughout the weekend, and the fact we want you all mentioned in the programme, it makes our lives so much easier if you get these in.

Cheers

Hi all

Just a quickie to pre-plug my and Dan_ Hellsing's game Toga! Toga! Toga! scheduled for Sat afternoon. As it's still in beta folks might justly be nervous. They might be asking themselves What is this game? What's the system? Will I be able to do what I want to do?* Well, the first thing to say is that the system is pretty radical, even for a homebrew. Can't really explain it in detail here but I guarantee it'll knock your socks off (Weren't planning on wearing socks? Don't even own a pair of socks? Better find some before next Saturday).

Secondly, you will absolutely be able to do what you want to do: the game is designed so that the players do more or less what they like in each scene while the engine purrs away underneath it all, creating the conditions for the Epilogue. As Dan's probably tired of me saying, it's like a car, which the players drive however and to wherever they choose but without having to open up the bonnet and see all the pistons, camshafts etc.**

Finally, as it's a playtest, Dan and I would really appreciate your feeedback. Obviously y'all will get a mention when the book comes out.

*You might also be asking yourselves Why are we here? and What's for dinner? Can't help you with these questions. Sorry.
**I guess you can tell that I don't know much about cars.
