Dance your Saturday Night away with Conpulsion

Postby PhilipGHarris » 11:52am on 16 Mar 12

Enjoy an alternative future on the Saturday evening at Conpulsion as the cogs and pistons kick into high gear at our Steampunk Disco .

The Look 24/7 DJ Silvertouch (Orev Deniker) is stoking the music engines for the evening and providing a mix of styles to entertain the most discerning of convention goer from 10:00 pm until 3:00 am.

The disco is free for Conpulsion ticket holders but the event is also open to those non-gamers who want to join the fun for the cheap price of £5.

For each entry paid for we promise to donate £4 to our charity Pass It On so everyone wins: Great music, fabulous company and student union prices.

Entry to Teviot after six in the evening requires photo ID and proof of address, then make your way down to the Underground, costume or not, and enjoy the fun
Been gaming from the womb, in fact there were concerns about the rattling dice sound coming from there.

Can you give some clarification as to what is required here Phil? It has been, in the past, a total pain in the ass being carded at the door. OK, its been funny as well, but seriously for once.

What counts as 'photo ID'? Is it passport or driving licence, or is work ID card/ bus pass OK.

Does the proof of address have to be a different piece of ID?

Will we be getting the traditional cavity search? Magneto-scanner? Iris recognition system?

Neil

Hi Neil et al,

Just had the meeting with Teviot on Friday.

Only photo ID required but this has to be a Passport or Drivers License.

I am still awaiting the official script in writing from them (including when children have to depart the premises) but this is what we were told.

I agree with the Checkpoint Charlie style operation (especially since if you come into the building before six they don't throw you out). In desperate cases we will have students who can sign people in.

Does that help?

Yeah absolutely. I suppose I'm going to have to get used to carrying my passport in Scotland anyway so its no problem.

Thanks for the prompt reply!
