Re: ConDamned Games
So I am running They Became Flesh, and will be bringing, What You Wish For in whatever state it is at the moment (very unlikely to be completely finished, barring minor miracles).
I imagine I will also have some other stuff to run on demand.

Re: ConDamned Games
I'm definitely going to run a Penny game. It'll have to be played with Dutch 5ct pieces because I don't really have pennies here, but so far that hasn't stopped the games I ran from being really awesome.
During Queens Day I had the pleasure of doing a game for/with Marco and Derek, who had both played the game before. Because we were with three, we ran the game mostly GM-less, which was a joy for me as well because this was literally my second time as a player of the game. My character turned out to be pretty **** up - a rockstar wannabe with a destroyed career, who ended up raped and left for death by a cab driver with nefarious intentions. She didn't want to remember her past.
Apart from this game and Mick's one at Indiecon I've always been the GM. But that doesn't matter, because just hearing the stories is already a joy. I also wouldn't mind running it twice, if we don't have enough games. But I think that this will be fine anyhow - there are a lot of enthused GMs at Condamned and even if you'd go by the Dutch Invaders alone I think we've proven in the past that we're not too shy to run our own games.
So I'm definitely looking forward to it. Only three weeks to go

Thousands is a bit much, but a handful would be great

Re: ConDamned Games
Tijs and I are actually well on our way developing a Witch style cooperative storytelling game. It has slightly more crunch (it uses some tokens and cards) and we hope to have it done by the time ConDamned comes around.
No guarantees though...

Better to have too many rather than too few games, in case for some reason someone has to drop out, or gets held up in traffic or whatever.

Re: ConDamned Games
Nothing new in the works, and no, no Victoriana haha. I'll just stare at the pretty pictures
Though I do remember Ray asking me to co-DM And They Became Flesh, but I never got around to replying. I would still be up for that if Ash or Ray want to play a round instead of DMing it.

Re: ConDamned Games
One Tijs and I developed a game that we are playtesting on ConDamned, which we dubbed "The Skull of Akkarat". The name is still a bit corny, so that also might be updated in future tweaks
Here's a bit of primer:
The story is set in 1932 in the Amazonian rainforest, and is about an expedition to find and bring back a mysterious artefact known as the Skull of Akkarat. Getting there was the easy part. Going back turns out to be a lot harder as the characters meet with unexpected trouble every step of the way back. Everyone seems to have their own reason to want the skull for themselves, but they can't get out of the jungle without help.
The rules are relative simple, but has some added randomness in the form of cards: Its based on the flow of Witch, with 4 acts and people setting scenes in turn. The difference is that we added two mechanics, one to create some paranoia, and one to make you want to influence and stick close to your fellow expedition members:
- At the beginning of each act, each player draws a card, which might just add some flavour, but possibly it might state that the Skull's evil influences have turned you down the path of the morally challenged, turning you evil.
- At the end of the act, you give a trust token to the character your character trust the most. These trust tokens basically are raffle tickets in the resolution scene, basing your characters chance on coming out on top on how he manages to win the trust of the expedition along the long trek back.
Hopefully I can get a nice set of players to test this little scenario out!
