Well, please post here if you have plans to launch a game at Indiecon or carry out some playtests. This is your chance to promote this and get the interest levels up over the next few months.

I will be launching What You Wish For at Indiecon. I will have some copies with me for purchase, but for any of you who pre-order by contributing to my IndieGoGo campaign, then I will guarantee to have a copy to give you at Indiecon.

What You Wish For is a structure freeform roleplaying game, about ordinary people stuck in their lives and making the determination to do something to improve their lot. You reflect upon their past and dream about their futures using mechanics based upon interpreting interesting pieces of art.

You can find out more at http://www.indiegogo.com/wywf

How exactly are you defining 'launch'? Reason I ask is that, although Dan and I are going to be showcasing SFBK at IndieCon this year- with we hope several games running throughout the con- it might not actually have been published in book form by then. However, it's currently on a pdf, and playable as is so we could launch it in that state?

Hi Chris

I think my last post may have been, as usual, a confused mess. What I was asking was whether or not a game could be launched as a pdf, or does it have to be in book form to be launched at Indiecon? I know we're still five months away, but I'd be grateful for a word on this soon as Dan and I would have to prepare for it.

Cheers

Hoping to have a pdf version of my (and OSIWM's) game The Skull of Akkarat ready some time before Indiecon and then run it at Indiecon. I don't know yet if a few print copies will be possible.

It's a storytelling game like Witch and Montsegur about an expedition in the Amazone in the 1930's. A diverse group of explorers is trying to get a mysterious artefact back to civilization, but encounter strange problems on the way.

Hi Leo,

you can bring this in whatever form you wish. Usually I find that gamers like to have a hard copy (with pdf download on drivethru rpg for example), that they can read during the con and get you guys to sign :)

But Pdf works also...

This sounds like a bit of fun, the more info you give us the better.

we are due to update the website soon and it would be good to get a page per game being launched. Pls send us artwork and blurb etc. pm me for email etc.

I think this is doable. Dan’s got a lot on his plate atm but I think we could publish in time for Indiecon, even if it’s just a few dozen copies.

Sorry to pinch your reply guys but… Dan and I will try to do this too.

P.S. I can personally recommend Skull of Akkarat. Played it at ConDamned, it's great fun.

I'll playtest The Tavern. It's a game about a tavern and the people in it, with a strong emphasis on food. (And I must think of a better way to pitch it.)

It's gone well at London Indie RPG Meetup, so I'm looking forward to trying it at IndieCon.

(It tends to work best in an actual drinking establishment, so it may be a game for the sofas.)

Chris, seems you're already drunk on cheap ale, as you're writing double .
