Five Years? Has It Been That Long?

By Dave McAlister • Feb 23rd, 2008 • Category: Latest News

Well, obviously it has, but it doesn’t feel like it. The last five years, for a variety of reasons, have just flown by and UK Role Players has grown, and expanded, year upon year. The ’site’s fifth anniversary is the perfect opportunity to further expand and blossom from “just” a forum-based community into a fully-fledged resource centre - what some people call a portal.

This isn’t just any portal though. You won’t find useless aspects such as the weather or a flashy clock (if you want to know what the weather’s like where you live, look outside - likewise, if you need to know the time, your computer has a clock). Joking aside, everything (and I hope you agree) is a valuable addition to the ’site. If you don’t agree, just let the administration team know - you can find our details at the bottom of every page.

  1. I want to start LARP but have no idea how to get going. Can anyone tell me a place near POrtsmouth where they would welcome 3 complete but keen novices?

  2. I don’t know of anything near Portsmouth myself, but there are a lot of active Portsmouth gamers here (they even have their own forum: http://www.ukroleplayers.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=23) who might be able to help you.

  3. Thanks for that, I had a quick look but it seems mostly ‘board based’ and I really fancy the whole running round the woods stuff. I will keep on looking.
