With 100 roleplaying sessions and board games,minis or cards tournaments plus over 70 public participation games tables and over 70 exhibitors don’t miss this! Attractions include:
Be the First to Play it. There will be two Dungeons and Dragons 4e scenarios run over several RPG tables over the weekend so you can try out the new game a few days before release.
- RPGS from many Games systems including the First Chance to play the new 4th edition Dungeons and Dragons in the UK. Also try out the upcoming Dr Who RPG and the new Mongoose version of the popular Sci Fi Classic Traveller. Also play RuneQuest 4th Ed, Call of Cthulhu and more. With venteran RPG Gms Team 8 organising the RPG events this year it promises to be bigger and better than last year.
- Living Dungeon. Living Dungeon is an interactive immersive living action role play experience. Teaming up in parties of six explore the dungeon beneath UK Games Expo. You will need to work together if you are going to survive while you encounter puzzles, overcome traps and fight your way past the inhabitants of the Necromancer’s Lair.
- Great board games including new releases. See new games including Athene and Huang Di from JKLM, Confucius from Surprised Stare, Monastery from Ragnar Brothers, Ice Flow from Ludorum, and others including Warfrog, Treasure Trail Games, Lost Games Foundation .
- Grand board game tournament – win games signed by Reiner Knizia and £100 of vouchers for spending on JKLM stand and website. This includes the UK Carcassonne Championship the winner of which will have entry to the World Carcassonne Championship in Essen with travel costs paid by UK Games Expo.
- Card games including World of Warcraft and Yu-gi-oh along with the UFS SDK Nationals and a UFS team tournament.
- Miniatures games including tournaments in Flames of War, Hordes and Warmachine UK Open, Warhammer 40K and new in 2008 a Field of Glory Tournament.
- Computer Games including LAN Gaming, Nintendo Wii and Guild Wars.
- Imperial storm troopers from Star wars in full kit. New in 2008 Dr Who’s Tardis and the Daleks. Tolkien characters.
- Schools board game tournament sponsored by Wizkids, Burely Games, Coiled Spring and Heron Games. School years 5 and 6 enter teams in this follow up to last years fun and well received event.
- Free Play area at the Expo and also next door in the Menzies Strathallan we have an expanded free play area BOTH Friday 30th may and Saturday 31st may from 7pm till late - so somewhere to play with your new games.
