Suzerain Goes Savage!
Talisman Studios‘ Origins Award nominated Suzerain universe is about to get twice as big with the development of a Savage Worlds edition for the critically acclaimed RPG.
“We’re already known for our work on Savage Worlds books, with us creating Shaintar and working on books like Deadlands Reloaded.” said Talisman’s publisher, Martin Klimes. “We’ve also had great reviews for Suzerain’s own rules system, Mojo Rules!. The time has come for us to put it all together and offer fans and new players alike a choice of gaming style.”
Where Mojo Rules! created a balanced roleplay environment, encouraging a mix of investigation, social encounters and physical action, Savage Worlds is perfect for high octane action from start to finish. Whether you’re in the far future, in the distant mythic past, or in an alternate reality present, this new development gives a universe of fresh opportunities for your games. And for the savages it adds a whole new treat… Demigod rank, one step up from Legendary and the new top to the character development tree.
As work continues on the project, it is being opened to the gaming public much more, with blogs, chats, an open beta and much more planned. Visit our roleplay site for updates at www.talisman-studios.com and drop by the shop to get your free download of the rulebook beta, both in full color and print-friendly versions.
FURTHER INFORMATION
Talisman Studios was formed in 2003 as an art and design studio to the adventure games industry, the brainchild of master artists Jason Engle and Aaron Acevedo. The studio is an Origins Award Winner (for Deadlands Reloaded), and has worked on dozens of products. In May 2007 the company became part of Savage Mojo Ltd and stepped up a gear, becoming a publisher in its own right, starting with its Gamescapes line of game accessories and building up to the launch of Suzerain and Shaintar. 2008 saw the company work on more than a hundred high art gaming products, with both Suzerain and Shaintar being Origins Award semi-finalists. 2009 looks like being another bonanza year.
Suzerain is a multi-genre, multi-world game system, Origins Award nominated in 2008. Ron Blessing of The Game’s The Thing had this to say about it, “I can’t wait to spend time in this playground. The book as a whole is awesome. Suzerain can be as simple or detailed as the players and director want. The art is absolutely gorgeous. Hopefully it’s obvious I’m pretty high on this product. Wow. Just wow.”
