The sentence, "If the target is unaware of the attack there is usually no need to roll. Simply declare the location and trauma." is specific to melee attacks. For ranged attacks "If the target cannot see the incoming projectile or missile the attack is made against an assigned difficulty."

Whether someone is "completely" surprised will depend on the circumstances, and typically on a Stealth skill roll. Basically if your opponent is oblivious to being under attack it is a complete surprise. If they are startled by an attacker rushing at them it is a surprise, but they may still defend.

What exactly does the following mean:

Page 145 Accumulated Trauma
"...treat the time to shock as if it was bleeding, but while the attack is ongoing it cannot stop."

I'm not sure how to implement Alchemy using the rules

Could you give an example with the required stages and dice rolls required? I think I'm right in assuming each preparation is different, but an example would be very useful

Errata page 210

This paragraph

"Note that conjurations with fire require a flame already burning as they cannot ignite objects. Conjurations involving rain and clouds are normally only possible outdoors, but if there is enough space and moisture they may be possible in large indoor environments"

Appears twice on page 210, top right of page
