I have first and 5.0. Don't like the layout on that and the PDF of 5.2 is sweet.

Is there any chance some code could be written whereby you can press a button on your posts in here so that it moves over to "What have you splurged on"? :D

Or perhaps the topic could be renamed to "What purchases are you delaying by a couple of days so you can kid yourself into feeling more responsible?"

I'm also resisting the Primeval Thule setting with 13th Age flavouring. Obviously, I desperately need another Sword & Sorcery setting and an excuse to get 13th Age off the shelf.

Obviously.

Looks at feet.

I looked at primeval Thule for 13th Age and thought ' swords and sandals'.. '13th age hyper heroes'.. mm, not sure I see the fit. I think that if you need to resist something to not get 13th Age off the shelf you need to resist something more super heroic, like 13th Age Glorantha, or Nocturne 13th Age or frankly, just run the core Dragon Empire since, as Baz has said many times.. it's very very good.

So, no need to resist Thule.. but a couple of ideas of what not to buy there.. happy to be of service..

First Age wrote:Much as I love Traveller, and it has consistently been the most played RPG for me over 36 years of roleplay, I've largely managed to resist the Mongoose 2nd Edition. This is despite the fact that it looks to be the smoothest and best iteration so far. The Great Rift Kickstarter has an option to get all the books and PDFs for a modest saving, and that's pulling me in.

The starscape is highly compacted now, with FFG Star Wars, D6, Coriolis, Infinity, M-Space, the PbtA trilogy of Farflung, Impulse Drive & Uncharted Worlds, Mindjammer and others including oldies such as Fading Suns. Diaspora 2 is likely to be fab, though that might be on the Far Horizons.

Despite this, I'm tempted to jump into TravSpace and bag the lot. The mass of my SF shelves, Cepheus and time that I do not have hold me in vigilant high guard.

Crumbling. 24 hours to go. Good deal.Good version of the game. [Insert hand ringing excuses here...]

We need this as a timely reminder as we hover over overexcited and unnecessary extensions to the stack.

Oh boy. I have managed to hold out on buying new Traveller stuff for years, but I've just realised it's my birthday in a couple of days.

Maybe a couple of emails should go out to people today...

How close is this to First Age's thoughts?

Resisted the Reaper Bones 4 Kickstarter. $100 for ~150 'minis' (some are nigh 1' tall...).

I'd like to say it was due to willpower (why buy more when I have hundreds to paint as it is!?) but the reality is that the delivery date is too far down the line (Feb 2019) for me, we'll all be fighting for our lives in some kind of nightmarish, post-apocalyptic dystopia by then so I won't have any time to paint (so, same as now then really). :)
