Been relistening to Into the Electric Castle by Ayreon and considering whether to write a Con scenario based on it.

My last music purchase was the rather retro 90's classic Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey soundtrack. Brilliant.

Hammering the two tracks from the new Killers album that are out so far ('The Man' and 'Run for Cover') and also the Coriolis soundtrack and Hymns to Fading Light (also by Stars to a Black Sea). I have the Ghost in the Shell 2017 soundtrack but it doesn't have everything. Fortunately there's Spotify for that.

Melvins, Melvins with a side order of Melvins pleased. It's loud noisy grungey, sludgy, metal/punk that doesn't care what you think of it and is more the powerful for that attitude. I

I have just acquired Paul Shapera's The Dolls of New Albion (as part of the complete New Albion trilogy set), a steam-punk prog-rock opera. I spotted the show in the Edinburgh Fringe programme and went along to see it, and it was good.

I'm looking forward to listening to the next two, which are diesel-punk and atomic-punk prog-rock operas.

Bit late to the party, but count me in. I have all of the studio albums, bought originally on vinyl, then later on cd. I have also seen them live twice. Not with McGeoch though, sadly.

Alternating between All About Eve (on the turntable having recently moved it into the living room rather than lurking in the office) and Miles Davis - always been intrigued by Jazz and trying to see if I can get my head around it (always been a bluesman myself, and although in some ways related, it is a totally different language).
