Been relocating to the new Tavern with the sounds of Extreme's live recording of Pornograffitti 25 years since the original albums release. Still can't work out how he plays most of those riffs on my axe...

I have largely been listening to the new Blues album by Alabama 3; excellent. I hope to go and see them next Friday night.

I love that album. The follow-up, III Sides to Every Story, is great too.

III Sides is brilliant. Wasn't so impressed with Waiting For the Punchline but thought Sauades de Rock was getting back to form.

Opeth's Sorceress for some heavy, vibey, proggy, psychy Swedish rock.

Beth Hart's Fire On The Floor for some bluesy belting.

Drive By Truckers' American Band for some soul searching, national lamenting, country-rock noodling.

Lots of Small Faces and Prince, the vagaries of iPod Genius and long flights.

Idle curiosity got me to listen to Human, the current single (the acoustic version is the best IMO), so I picked up the Bluestown (fun) and the two EP's Disfigured and Wolves. Currently largely looping Disfigured on my iTunes.

Wild by Joanne Shaw Taylor.

Various Fish albums. The one reason I'm looking forward to Christmas is I know I've got the remastered version of Field of Crows coming.
