Just in case anyone is confused: Alistair Reynolds Aurora Rising was previously published as The Prefect... The Gollancz listing, the cover and title page say The Prefect whereas the Amazon page calls it Aurora Rising (with a note at the bottom of the description 'Previously published as The Prefect').

Apparently, this is a tie-in with the Gollancz Festival 2017 and the prices should hold good through the weekend: https://www.gollancz.co.uk/2017/11/goll ... book-sale/ (in case the Big Deal link disappears tomorrow).

There's a decent Open Road Media Humblebundle been posted: https://www.humblebundle.com/books/gala ... cta_button

Despite having a bunch already, I've gone for the top tier as there are enough additional titles. Note that the Theodore Sturgeon and the Robin McKinley are geo-restricted.

Also, in todays Kindle Daily Deal -

Robert Graves I, Claudius is 99p:

Gateway SF have a sale over this weekend (ends Monday):

https://www.gollancz.co.uk/2018/01/sf-g ... book-sale/

(To get at the title, visit your retailer of choice, and paste the ISBN into the search box. As there are nearly 300 books in the sale, I am not pasting individual Amazon links (sorry)... The full list is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0)

Note that not all titles are £1.49 or less - some are £2.49 (been working through the Alan Dean Fosters...) Whether that means they'll be discounted tomorrow is another matter. Gateway regular prices seem to be £4.99 and up.

Older titles seem to be at the £1.49 price, newer seem to be at £2.49.

Also spotted some collections: the Frank Herbert Dune titles, Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat, Gordon Dickson's Dorsai and various other (including an author I won't mention 'hem, hem').

I've picked up an insane number of titles...

The first 8 Inspector Montalban mysteries are in the Big Deal on Amazon.co.uk today:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/b/ref=s9_acsd_ ... players-21

They're priced at either 99p or £1.19 each.

I haven't read them, but they come highly recommended.

I have read 1-3 and loved them.
I also love the TV version but they're often best followed up by reading the books to explain WTF actually happened!
Lovely, relaxed, Sicilian, deadly, whimsical.

Well, I got the lot. 1-3 & 7 were 99p, the other four were £1.19, so 8 books for less than 1.5 full price. This is despite the size of my TBR pile including a load of crime fiction.
