If you subscribe to the Tor.com newsletter, there is a link to two free ebooks in the latest email.

“For fantasy fans, we've got Paul Cornell's Witches of Lychford, the first book in his magical series set in the small English town of Lychford. And for science fiction lovers, we're sending you on a mind-bending space adventure with Killing Gravity, Corey J. White's blockbuster debut and the first in the Voidwitch Saga...”

The half-term sale is up on Amazon.co.uk now: a fair amount of repeat deals but some new:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/search/othe ... players-21

Alan Garner: The Owl Service at £1.49 (REPEAT)
Alan Garner: The Moon of Gomrath at 99p (the sequel to The Weirdstone of Brisingamen) (REPEAT)
C S Lewis: The Magician's Nephew at £2.99 (REPEAT)
Diana Wynne Jones: Enchanted Glass at £1.49
Garth Nix: Goldenhand at £1.49 (I'm pretty sure this is a repeat)
Garth Nix: A Confusion of Princes at £1.49 (I don't think I've seen this before)
Julie Kagawa: The Iron King at 99p (REPEAT)
Kim Newman: Anno Dracula at 99p (REPEAT)
Norton Juster: The Phantom Tollbooth at 99p
Rachel Caine: Ink and Boone (The Great Library 1) at 99p (REPEAT)
Rachel Caine: Glasshouses (Morganville Vampires) at 99p (I don't think I've seen this before)
V E Schwab: Our Dark Duet (sequel to This Savage Song) at 99p

I suspect I'll grab the Diana Wynne Jones and the Norton Juster, and possibly the V E Schwab (I haven't read the first one yet).

Yes, but it tends to be mostly indie authors who I've never heard of. Also, at least one of their curators has Puppy links.

Sad and Rabid:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sad_Puppies

Whereas I like a ripping yarn as much as anything, to my mind that's all it is: pure entertainment and fairly escapist entertainment at that. I certainly wouldn't nominate it for any award let alone vote for it.

Got to keep my eye on them for a couple of years - we're booked for Dublin 2018.
