I don't believe so. I suspect because it was a shared world situation, there may be issues with the rights. However, Liavek eventually came as an ebook (apart fron one story where I believe the author was deceased although John M Ford's stories were included) so I expect eventually it will come out. Poul Anderson's The Valor of Cappen Varra has been around as an etext for years. I think we may see the single author novels come out first.

Today's Amazon.co.uk Big Deal includes 19 SFnal titles out of 20:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/b/ref=s9_acsd_ ... players-21

Titles include Philip K Dick's The Man in the High Castle (no doubt to tie in with the TV series), all 3 books in Cixin Liu's Three Body Problem series, John Scalzi's Old Mans War and the sequel, Ken Liu's Paper Menagerie, a Paul Cornell and an Adrian Tchaikovsky.

I grabbed bk 3 of The Three Body Problem (and I really must make a start on that series), and Paul grabbed the Paul Cornell. I'm havering over the Dick, and the sequel to Old Man's War.

I can highly recommend The Man in the High Castle. I bought the novel years ago and loved it.

I have a feeling I've read The Man in the High Castle, but it was a long time ago if I did and I may be conflating it with something else. Whether I actually owned the copy I read I can't remember; the only Dick I have in my library is his collaboration with Roger Zelazny, Deus Irae. Like me, Paul remembers reading it. The trouble is that although it's a classic, there's other classics I prefer so is it worth 99p to me...

Luckily not for me! Of the ones I was interested in, I'd already got most, and the other 2 I'm ambivalent about. My copy of Old Man's War is mostly unread - I think I started in on it some time ago and I think I read the first couple of chapters but moved to sonething more interesting to me and never went back. I think it was the first title that came up when I was on the way (back?) somewhere; it may have been back in the Palm M500 days... (Reading a paragraph at a time meant a book had to glomm onto my attention and only be prised off with a crowbar otherwise it was far too easy to stop reading.)

The trouble is that these days Mil SF is associated with puppydom, and I often find it unpalatably right wing (and therefore to be avoided). Only the fact that it's John Scalzi gives me pause. If it was a freebie, then I'd grab it without thinking twice; so I may wait for a Baen CD-ROM.

Turned out the Mil SF book I vaguely remembered wasn't Old Man's War, I'm about 2/3 of the way through and have grabbed the sequel (along with the PKD). Still can't remember which book it was apart from it would have been an old Baen Free Library title (a lot of titles were removed from the library a couple of years back).
