What are you backing?

Postby pedr » 4:31pm on 24 Nov 16

I'm not actually backing this yet: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/11 ... 0s-that-ne but an RPG based on Tales from the Loop - including, possibly, an alternative US setting - looks very interesting! The photos are amazing.

(Plus I liked this thread on Tav Mk 1 so thought I'd see if I could resurrect it.)

I'm glad you're trying to resurrect this thread; it's one of the few ways I know what's out there in the far-flung reaches of tabletop RPGs.

None of you will be surprised to learn that I'm still backing Hellfrost: Land of Fire, the latest supplement of which is Heroes and Villains III over at indiegogo.

I so agree, cos let's face it, the role of the Tavern is gossip over beer.

I've backed it, but I already backed the art books last year and they are gorgeous.

I'm currently backing Cabal, Farflung, and Monsterhearts 2 at PDF level. I'm also in Tales From the Loop at hardcopy as I love Fira Ligan's stuff and have very little self control (which is why I have 175 backed projects now).

Get the art books for Tales from the Loop. They're gorgeous!

I'm tempted, but not sure how much use at the table I'd get from them.

I am. I blame Newt - it popped up on my Facebook because of him and I got drawn in and it looks GORGEOUS. Currently wondering whether I'm going to bung the extra SEK700 at it for the two art books as well.

*sigh* and I was doing so well resisting Kickstarters this year... I Was really hoping to make to the end of the year without backing another one! :D

Depending on shipping charges, we're looking at backing this:

*sigh* another one slipped through...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/19 ... me-by-rory

It's a fun looking game, I hugely respect Jon Hodgson's work at C7 and elsewhere, it's a cracking project in terms of its goals for the boys and the rest of the family. So I could resist.

But definitely no more kick-starters... This year at least! :P

Yes, we like Michael Whelan. Unfortunately, international shipping starts at $32, which makes the lower tiers prohibitively expensive. Even the postcard set is $13 for a $10 reward. So, if we back it, it'll have to be digital only.

What are you backing?

Postby pedr » 10:50pm on 01 Dec 16

I was never going to be able to risk <edit: I meant to type "resist"!> a sci fi game using 5e D&D rules, was I? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/23 ... escription

Will I ever run it? Who knows? But since I backed Aethera and don't play Pathfinder I can't Not back this one :-)
