I held out during the first Kickstarter of the Monolith Conan skirmish board game. But with so many friends offering positive reviews, I finally decided to splurge big time.
I never even painted miniatures before, but thought that if I am to join others in this hobby, what better way than a board game that pays authentic homage to Robert E. Howard's most memorable characters.

Plus, the folks at Monolith threw out a challenge to the public: "If the all-in pledge will result in you losing all your wealth undreamed of (and maybe even a divorce), we highly recommend you secure this pledge", That is the exact quote with full stop. And many of us just proved them wrong, because mighty Conan conquers all.

Same as WotC except they don't do PDF at all...

At least this has put a smile on my face (might just be wind, of course). The doormat rocks with the arrival of Covert Actions for CoC Cold War and Bree. Thank you, lovely Cubicle Seven people, for your excellent products  .

6 Scenarios for WWC Cold War set in the seventies.

Were they so covert that they even slipped under the Domster's radar?

I suspect I haven’t downloaded the PDF. I should get this if it’s part of the kickstarter... it’s been a busy month or two.

Ooh sounds a like good combo to use my C7 30% off voucher on that I got from the Humble Bundle. I doubt the new Warhammer will be out in time before the voucher runs out at the end of next month.

That's exactly what I used to get Bree; I was going to wait until Dragonmeet in order to save on postage.

My copies of the Adventures in Middle Earth Players and Loremasters Guides arrived while I was away, as did another official DM Screen (just how many DM Screens do I need? )Image

I've not had a chance to compare them yet. At first glance there are a few different tables that could come in handy. I mainly use DM Screens now to attach things to (I bulldog clip various maps and such on the player side) and for my initiative tent tracking system. The setup for my weekly group is a slightly lower (about a couple of inches) DM desk compared to the dining table that the players use so using a screen isn't too much of a barrier for the players.
