Many of us will have fond memories of John Noakes, and this very charming documentary captured all that I personally loved about the man: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09jcx7x
Not too long, never boring, like the man himself.

Fond memories of watching his daredevil exploits in the 1970s: Parachuting out of Hercules as high altitude, the infamous bob sleigh run where he came to grief, but the ascent of Nelson's column with little or nothing in the way of safety gear probably caps them all for me. He must have had nerves of steel that man.

He talks of the column.
He was clearly too much of a trooper to say no.
Mind you, I don't envy his cameraman's job either...
