I know you prefer Phil Masters Convention page but I could post my lists of upcoming RPG conventions?
Cheers,

I like the idea of book and TV/film subfora. I used the book one a lot back in our old pub.

I agree (from fragrant Rotorua) with very few forums at first, splitting into finer divisions once the need arises. I'm happy to wade into most RPG discussions and throw my mustard around.

Me too, sounds a sensible approach to me:

RPGS
Boardgames, Wargames, Miniatures
Other Media (Film, music, books)
General Chat (The Bar)
Convention Discussion (I first found the Tavern when it hosted the Continuum forum)
ICT etc.

Yes, something like this list. Plus Gamers, Clubs and Shops. I first found UKRoleplayers when searching for gamers and think that plus the convention listings are the most valuable parts of the forum.
Much as I love it, one can do the chatting on many different sites but I know of nowhere else that is a central point for UK rp information. And that information is what is likely to draw in other newcomers.

And thank you, to you and your team, for being willing to take up the burden!

The bit we need to crack is the looking for gamers bit and the conventions. I will start to poll the Convention organisers, see if they will support the Con forums or if we group them into a single forum.

Agreed. I know some of you well, others by name or username only. It would be great to get to know everyone better, makes for a much happier and friendlier atmosphere and a more committed userbase.

Simon, Graham and I had a video conference this morning.

We have agreed server, software and a preliminary forum configuration.

RPG discussion
Bar
Bazaar
People
Clubs
Conventions
Other gaming

We'd like a Discord channel and sticky links to Spotify

We will run a competition for a new logo.

Looking forward to the Tavern reopening Guv :-) I'll mull over some of my fave topics to exhume or continue with depending on your point of reference :)

That's great news Julian. In truth a bit of thread necromancy would be great.

Here's a question, would people use the Tavern to record Actual Play as some of us have in the past?
