[UKRP 2011 Awards] UKRP RP retailer of 2011

Postby mr toad » 11:23am on 09 Jan 12

Hi there,

Did you buy much RP stuff last year? How was the service? Is there one retailer that just seems to go that step further with there support? Are they at your favourite, waiting will the next cool supplement of your favourite system? Do they offer a customer service which makes you feel valued? Are they willing to just spend time chatting because they do what they do for the love of the hobby?

Let us know with a vote.

To vote for your winner all you need do is write a short citation as to why you think the retailer you are nominating should win this award.

The judging of the award will be down to the votes you receive from the committee based on the citation you have submitted.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Paizo.com.

I've bought quite a few PDFs from them this year and I've always been impressed with the quality. I ran into an issue with my reader and the guys at Paizo responded to my query personally and promptly. The problem solved, they cam back and checked everything was ok the next day and sent me a voucher for my trouble. None of this was even their fault AND their cs dept had come back to me at 3am their time.

It's a classic case of solving an issue works out better for everyone than just getting it right first time.

Lamentations

Postby Pete » 7:33pm on 10 Jan 12

Leisure Games of course. Still, they must so tire of being the best, hehe, so I'll nominate someone else.

Lamentations of the Flame Princess: James Raggi is living the Old School dream, designing, publishing, and selling Old School games like Lamentations of the Flame Princess, Vornheim, and Carcosa. I gather that he's just one dude in Finland, and he's doing a sterling job on all the fronts I've mentioned.

I grabbed LotfP, Vornheim, and Carcosa from his store recently, and the shipping for this hefty bundle was free. Super stuff. (The free EU shipping runs out this Thursday, so if you wanna get your mitts on the some of the best stuff coming out of the OSR, get your order in before then.)

Cheers

I'll go for my FLGS, Patriot Games. The manager there is friendly, open, knows about gaming, and is always willing to chat. There's a good selection of things in store and a willingness to order. What more do you want from a store?
