That make's two of us!

And I'm pleased that Tim did well with Albion, as that was a topic at many a TomCon!

And so the winner of UKRP forum contributor of the Year (2011) is...

Neil Gow

Aw shucks... no pressure when I post now then eh?

Big props to Tim for Albion's win. I know you worked on that project for ages so its great to get some recognition for it. Winning the award last year was one of the highlights of my time doing the game design thing. Enjoy it.

And massive YEYS! to the Furnace team too. Gaming and free chips. Winner!

UKRP 2011 Gaming Awards - The Winners

Hell, I joined 14 December 2007, so I was way out of the running.

But to echo Toad's statements, being a judge on these awards has highlighted to me the friendly, high quality posters we have here on UKRP. It makes being here a pleasure, and is a breath of fresh air next to some other, less welcoming forums.

So round of applause for all of you who lurk or post here; you make these awards possible.

And of course, thanks to Toad for administering them.

Hugz and much love,

Shane

I'm delighted that Furnace has received this illustrious recognition, especially when we are found amongst such excellent UK conventions. I don't go to nearly as many as I might like, but I am always encouraged by the energy, enthusiasm and organisational know how that brings these events to life. We really do have a good vibrant con scene in the UK. If you feel you don't have one nearby that caters to your taste then create your own. That's what we did.

We don't plan to do too much to Furnace, we like it as it is, though a hefty increase in the price of chips due to the present economic uncertainties may diminish our cullinery offerings this year.

The games, thanks to our attendees, are gauranteed to be consistently fantabulous.

Look forward to seeing many of you with us in Sheffield in October.

Don't worry, I'll throw some money in a pot and we can buy our own chips. Sod the rest
