IndieCon 2017 announced [EDIT: CANCELLED]

Postby SJE » 5:57pm on 14 Jan 17

Per the website: http://www.indiecon.net/

Indiecon 2017

Dates:
9th - 12th November 2017

10 Year Anniversary

VENUE: Hobourne, Naish, Christchurch,
Dorset, UK

Dear Friends - unfortunately for this year only "2016" Indiecon will not be running however, we are pleased to say that we have confirmed our dates for 2017. Nearer to the time we will post costs and details here on the website and on our Forum within UK Roleplayers.

Indiecon mission is to provide a friendly,
relaxed and flexible gaming atmosphere where players can play new games, their favourite classic games and playtest the games of tomorrow.

Gamers will be encouraged and incentivised
to try a lot of games and really go away from
the event with some great memories and new gaming ideas.

Indiecon 14 also wishes to open up gaming
and get a lot more younger players involved.

This is above all your event, so get involved and drop us an email.

See you in November!
Indiecon Team

Those dates have been on the IndieCon website for a while but it still refers to 2016 beneath (and 2014 not far beneath that!). I've been trying to get hold of Chris to confirm the dates but have heard nothing from him - he's not visited here since April last year either.

As soon as I hear back from Chris I'll get things sorted.

Hi everyone, sorry for the radio silence, but getting feedback from Naish has been like getting a sword out of a stone!

We are getting pricing coming through and they will have just over 40 lots of accommodation available. Now normally we are over 50 in past years so this will be tight. I am trying to get more lots released. The key discussion point is that they will not hold accommodation without deposits so we basically need to know who is coming and how many we can block booked and get deposits for.

So who intends to make this? And please let us know if you are part f the same party so that we get accomodation numbers estimated at least roughly rapidly.

We will publish costings asap as soon as they confirm.

I've canvassed my group, and we're either a 3 or 4 bed lodge (most likely 3).

Assuming the rail network hadn't totally imploded by then, I'll be there. But as k can only be there Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and I travel alone, it doesn't make sense for me to take a lodge on-site. Sorry.
