Brittannia Game Designs Ltd (BGD) has signed an agreement with Chronicle City (CC) for the printing and distribution of their products. BGD believe that this partnership will aid fans of Chivalry and Sorcery, both old and young, the opportunity to find our products in local stores. The first product to hit the stores will be Chivalry & Sorcery Essence, our taster game to the C&S experience, both complete with an innovative rule set giving the flavour of what C&S and medieval role playing is about. BGD is looking forward to a long and rewarding relationship with CC over the coming years.

“I’ve been a long time fan of Chivalry & Sorcery, having first come across the game when I started roleplaying in the 80’s and then with the new edition in the late 90’s. I’m very pleased to be able to join forces with Steve and Brittannia Game Design in helping maximise the exposure and availability of this brand new edition of a classic and much loved game” Said Angus Abranson of Chronicle City.

Brittannia Game Designs Ltd is a British based games publisher set up in 1997 by Steve Turner to publish licensed Chivalry & Sorcery products. Shortly after producing our second product we were in a position to acquire the rights to C&S. Since then we have produced a number of products including a revised set of rules and many supplements. As we enter our 15th year we intend to continue the legacy of the original writers to put the History into role-playing and bring to you a game that is not politically correct, does contain elements that may be distasteful but is at accurate historically as we can make it. For those who want the fantasy and magic, its there but its gritty. You can find out more about our games at (website in development) or Facebook or by emailing

About Dave McAlister

Dave has been roleplaying for over 30 years, having played and/or run most mainstream systems with the espionage genre being an early favourite. So much so that, in 1999, he started Modus Operandi. That same year he joined the Sarbreenar "Living" campaign team as their plotline controller before moving across to the Living Spycraft campaign team (as UK Regional Branch Director) in 2003. 2003 also saw the birth of UK Role Players as well as Dave's first freelance writing appointment (co-writing World Militaries and consulting on both US Militaries and Battlegrounds, all for Spycraft). Since then, Dave has concentrated on supporting the UK gaming scene. He has organised and run several small, one-day, events and was the RPG Area Manager for Gen Con UK in 2004. His current favourite systems are Dungeons & Dragons (specifically 5th Edition), Savage Worlds and Cinematic Unisystem. He has a (currently neglected) blog at and runs a D&D 5e SRD website at
